Unbounce Pricing in 2026: Every Plan, Cap, and Hidden Cost

Unbounce's pricing page shows four tidy numbers: $29, $99, $149, and $249 a month. The sticker price is the easy half. The visitor caps, the feature ladder, and an $80 overage rule decide what you actually pay. We pulled every 2026 number from the public pricing page and put it in one place, including the parts most people discover after they've signed up.

Full disclosure: we build DearConvert, a landing page builder that competes with Unbounce. That's exactly why every figure here comes straight from Unbounce's public pricing page, so you can check our math. And where Unbounce is genuinely good, we say so.

The short version

If you only have a minute, here's the whole article in five bullets.

  • Unbounce sells four self-serve plans in 2026: Starter at $29, Build at $99, Experiment at $149, and Optimize at $249 per month. Annual billing drops those to $22, $74, $112, and $187.
  • Every plan caps monthly visitors: 500, 20,000, 30,000, and 50,000. Conversions are unlimited on all plans, which is a real point in Unbounce's favor.
  • The features you probably came for cost extra. Popups arrive at $99, A/B testing at $149, and Smart Traffic (the AI optimizer) at $249.
  • Since November 2025, going over your visitor cap costs $80 for every extra 10,000 visits, or any part of that block. One visitor over the line triggers the full $80.
  • There's also an Agency plan, but it's custom pricing and you'll need a sales call to hear a number.

All four plans, monthly and annual

Here's the full 2026 lineup in one table.

Two notes on this table. First, annual billing saves roughly 25% across the board, which is meaningful if you're sure you'll stay a year. Second, that visitor column is the number to stare at. Unbounce doesn't meter your leads or conversions, it meters the people who land on your pages. Your bill is tied to traffic whether or not that traffic converts.

What you get at each price

Most tools gate a feature or two behind higher tiers. Unbounce gates almost everything that matters, so it's worth being precise about where each feature lives.

Popups and sticky bars: $99. The $29 Starter plan doesn't include popups at all. If catching an exiting visitor with an offer is part of your playbook, Build is your real starting price.

A/B testing: $149. This is the one that surprises people. You can pay Unbounce $99 a month and still not be able to test two headlines against each other. Testing arrives on Experiment, along with dynamic text replacement, a third user seat, and a second domain. For contrast, several builders now include testing at every price, and we rounded them up in our list of landing page builders with free A/B testing.

Smart Traffic: $249. Unbounce's AI looks at each visitor and routes them to the page variant most likely to convert them. Credit where it's due: users report it genuinely works, and it's the strongest reason to pick Unbounce over anything else. It's also a $249-a-month reason.

Put differently, going from "I can build a page" to "I can test a page" is a jump from $29 to $149. That's five times the price for the feature this whole product category is built around.

The 500-visitor Starter plan, in real life

The $29 plan sounds like a friendly on-ramp. Then you read the cap: 500 visitors per month. Let's run a real scenario.

Say you launch a modest ad campaign at $50 a day. On broad Meta traffic campaigns, clicks commonly cost somewhere between $0.10 and $0.50 each. At the cheap end, $50 buys around 500 clicks, which is your entire monthly allowance gone in a single day. At the expensive end you get about 100 clicks a day and hit the cap in five days. Either way, a starter-sized ad budget outgrows the Starter plan inside the first week of the month.

And crossing the cap isn't free. Under the overage policy, that first block of extra traffic adds $80 to your bill. So the $29 plan can quietly become a $109 month after one good day of ads. At that point Build at $99 is the obvious move, but you'd rather know that before you start than learn it from an invoice.

Who is Starter actually for? A hobby project, a portfolio page, something with light organic traffic. If you plan to send any paid traffic at all, price the $99 plan from day one.

The overage policy, explained

In November 2025, Unbounce changed what happens when you pass your visitor cap. The old software norm is to prorate, or to nudge you toward an upgrade. The new rule is simpler and harsher: every extra 10,000 visits, or any part of that block, costs $80.

"Any part" is the phrase to read twice. If you're on Build with its 20,000 cap and 20,001 people visit, that lone extra visitor bills the full $80. Finish the month at 45,000 visitors and you're 25,000 over, which counts as three blocks (two full, one partial), so $240 on top of your $99 plan. We wrote a full piece with worked examples in our guide to Unbounce overage charges, but the short version is this: your best traffic months become your most expensive software months.

To be fair, Unbounce shows usage warnings in the app, and unlimited conversions mean the leads themselves never cost extra. But the meter sits on the front door, and you can't always control who walks through it.

Tired of doing visitor math? DearConvert never meters traffic on any plan, including the free one. Pages are static HTML on a global edge network, so your traffic costs us almost nothing and we don't bill you for it. We count leads only, and if you go over your cap we hold the extras safely and release them the moment you upgrade. No $80 surprises.

About those renewal increases

One more cost that never appears on a pricing page: what happens at renewal. Users and reviewers report steep renewal increases on legacy Unbounce plans, with documented cases of more than 100% and some reports of around 300%. We can't verify every individual account, and plenty of customers renew without drama. But the pattern shows up often enough across review sites that it belongs in any honest pricing article.

Three practical defenses: screenshot the price and terms on the day you subscribe, set a calendar reminder two weeks before your renewal date, and ask support in writing whether your rate is locked. (For what it's worth, we handle this differently. Your DearConvert price never rises while you're subscribed, and that promise is written on our pricing page.)

When Unbounce is worth it

An honest pricing article needs this section, because Unbounce is not a bad product. It's one of the most mature in the category.

  • It has been building landing pages since 2009, and the polish shows.
  • The template library is 100+ strong, one of the biggest around (and bigger than ours).
  • Smart Traffic genuinely works, per user reports. If you spend serious money on ads, an AI that routes each visitor to the best variant can pay for itself.
  • The Conversion Benchmark Report is an industry-standard dataset that half the marketing world quotes.
  • Conversions are unlimited on every plan, and the 14-day trial doesn't ask for a card.

So here's our honest take. If your budget comfortably covers $249 a month, your traffic is predictable enough to stay under a 50,000 cap, and AI optimization is a priority, Unbounce's Optimize plan is a defensible buy. The trouble lives below that tier, where you pay real money and the defining features still sit behind another paywall.

Cheaper alternatives, quickly

If the caps and the feature ladder are your dealbreakers, two tools remove them at very different prices.

ToolEntry priceTrafficA/B testingWorth knowing
DearConvert$19/mo ($15 annual), free plan availableUnlimited on every planEvery plan, including FreeNewer product, smaller template library, no heatmaps yet
Leadpages$99/mo ($79 annual)Unlimited on every planIncluded, 2 variants1 seat on the entry plan, AI credits are metered, trial needs a card

Leadpages earns real praise here: its 2026 rebuild made unlimited traffic and included testing the default, and it's a mature product. DearConvert (that's us) starts at $19 with 10 pages, 1,000 leads a month, a custom domain with SSL, and the same unlimited traffic and testing on every plan, free plan included. We're newer and our template library is smaller, which we'd rather tell you now than have you discover later. Which Unbounce plan includes A/B testing?

Experiment, at $149 per month ($112 on annual billing). Starter and Build don't include testing at any price. Dynamic text replacement arrives at the same tier, and Smart Traffic AI waits until Optimize at $249.

What happens if I go over my visitor limit?

Does Unbounce have a free plan?

No. The 2026 lineup starts at $29 a month. There is a 14-day free trial that doesn't require a card, which is a fair way to test the builder before paying.

Is Unbounce annual billing worth it?

It saves roughly 25%. On Experiment that's $149 down to $112 a month, or $444 a year. Just note the widely reported renewal increases: record the rate you signed at and check it before each renewal.

What's the cheapest way to get A/B testing?

Within Unbounce, $149 a month. Outside it, Swipe Pages includes testing at $89, Leadpages at $99, Landingi at $149, and DearConvert on every plan including the free one.
